Nazim
is a fine artist of over 30 years using traditional methods to create
art. Drawing and painting form the basis of his practice in the
pursuit of realizing his artistic vision. The multi-various themes
explored in his art are derived from observations made to stimulate
the imagination. His subject matter includes responses to nature,
the human figure, sport, performing arts, poetry, and mythology.
Many of the animals depicted in his work seem to embody a human
essence, derived somewhat from the shamanism of Native American
and Turkic tribes. As an artist, Nazim is constantly exploring the
museums and galleries on two continents, noting and studying the
old Masters, such as Michelangelo, Rubens, Caravaggio, Rodin, as
well as the modern greats like Degas or Winslow Homer. Being a trans-Atlantic
cultural commuter, Nazim gains access to the British Museum and
National Gallery in London, the Metropolitan Museum and MOMA in
New York City, the Getty and LACMA in Los Angeles, and The Louvre
and Muse Rodin in Paris. The numerous solo and group shows Nazim
has had in London and the USA have allowed collectors to acquire
unique works of art by this original artist. Among the many commissions
Nazim has had, the work created for the eminent actor, playwright,
and director, Steven Berkoff, and actress and leading holistic author,
Celeste Yarnall, has been outstanding.
